About
My name is Marcy Rogers. I create timeless films that spotlight and honor family legacy. My mission is to connect families with
their stories and preserve them for generations to come
because family stories matter.I am... The Documentarist.
My Background
My journey began on my 10th birthday,
when I received my first Kodak, point and shoot camera.In high school, I took a photography class and learned
how to develop black and white film in a dark room. It was MAGIC!In 1986, I made a documentary about life in Russia
after a once in a life time school trip to Asia.This experience ignited my love of photojournalism
and documentaries at university. Today, I connect families with their
stories through visual storytelling to preserve their family legacy.
